Attorney

Kristina McVay joined Social Media Victims Law Center as an attorney in 2025. She is passionate about representing children and families coping with harms caused by social media and A.I. products. Prior to joining SMVLC as an attorney, she clerked for SMVLC since January 2024 and interned for the Honorable Katharine von Ter Stegge of the Oregon 4th Judicial Court in Multnomah County.

Kristina earned her J.D. cum laude from Lewis & Clark Law School with a certificate in Litigation and Trial Advocacy. She was inducted into the Cornelius Honors Society for demonstrating excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service to the law school community. Kristina was active in student organizations, serving as President (‘24-‘25) and Networking Chair (‘23-‘24) of Lewis & Clark’s Plaintiffs’ Law Association; Student Bar Association’s Representative to the Alumni Board; and Student Advisor to Transfer Students. Kristina was a semi-finalist in the 2024 Syracuse Deposition Competition; a recipient of the Oregon Trial Lawyer’s Annual Convention Scholarship; the American Association for Justice’s Annual Convention Scholarship; and the Vernellia R. Randall Bar Exam Grant.

Kristina’s professional associations include the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, and Oregon Women Lawyers. Kristina graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2001 with a B.A. in Journalism/Public Relations. She currently resides in Oregon with her two daughters and one poodle.
