Glenn Draper has been a partner at Social Media Victims Law Center since June 2022. Glenn was integral to the trial presentation in KGM v. Meta and YouTube, the first social media addiction trial that resulted in a landmark verdict against the social media companies in March 2026. Glenn represented KGM and her family in depositions, took testimony from KGM’s health care providers, and oversaw a deep dive into her social media use and data. Glenn also served as YouTube Discovery Chair for the large groups of cases consolidated in the California Federal and state courts. In that role, he oversaw document discovery that identified key documents used in the case against YouTube. These documents showed the company was driven to maximize children’s watch time, despite knowing that YouTube was harming their mental health. Glenn deposed key YouTube executives overseeing the YouTube algorithm and child safety. His depositions of YouTube’s company specific expert witnesses were so effective that YouTube ultimately decided not to call them at trial.

Glenn continues to work on the state and federal court consolidated cases. Additionally, he is involved in SMVLC’s cases against Snap for facilitating sales of fentanyl-laced counterfeit pills to children, as well as cases alleging that Snapchat contributed to sexual exploitation of children through its Quick Add functionality and other features.

Prior to working at SMVLC, Glenn represented victims of mesothelioma and other asbestos-caused diseases, where he obtained hundreds of millions of dollars in settlements from the asbestos companies.

Glenn grew up in a military family with his father and brothers serving in the US Navy and US Army. Glenn spent two years on active duty in the US Army, where he was named Soldier of the Year for US Army Support Command Hawaii.

Glenn graduated with honors from the University of Washington Law School in 1994. He was one of several attorneys at Innocence Project Northwest that were awarded the National Law Journal’s Pro Bono Award in 2000 for representing the wrongfully convicted. He was also named a King County Quiet Hero for his pro bono work.

Glenn lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife and three teenage children.
